Bio

Peter is an IT professional with over 19 years of experience in the industry. He has been variously engaged to provide technical and strategic advisory services to Public and Private organizations. For 10 years, he led the IT Security Team at the Uganda Revenue Authority where he masterminded the establishment and consolidation of the information security architecture at the Uganda Revenue Authority. He was also instrumental in envisioning the future information technology strategy aimed at providing a seamless service to taxpayers and stakeholders. In his present position as the Acting Commissioner for IT and Innovation at the URA, he is charged with superintending the organization’s research & innovation, business process management, and IT service operations. Peter holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Makerere University, together with several professional certifications.
